Main dish:
  • 2 packets of puff pastry
  • 12 Nuremberg Rostbratwurst sausages
  • 12 slices of bacon or Black Forest bacon
  • 12 slices of cheese (individually wrapped cheese slices)
  • 2 eggs

Nuremberg Bratwurst sausages in a dressing gown

A really different way to try Nuremberg Bratwurst sausages! This recipe makes an impression on every buffet and is also a favourite dish at every child’s birthday party!

Preparation

  1. Thaw out the puff pastry in accordance with the instructions on the pack. 
  2. Halve the longer slices once and roll them out. Wrap the Nuremberg Bratwurst sausages with the cheese and bacon. First take a slice of bacon, then add the cheese on top and add the Nuremberg sausages. Wrap the bacon and cheese around the sausages. Place each sausage wrapped in bacon and cheese on a sheet of puff pastry and roll them up. The ends of each roll should be pressed together and possibly coated with cold water or egg white to make them hold together better.
  3. Then coat the sausage packages with egg yolk and bake for 20-25 minutes at 200 degrees at upper and lower heat.

Tipp

Am besten schmecken die Nürnberger Bratwürste im Schlafrock lauwarm und mit einem frischen grünem Blattsalat.
